sharing the kingdom
“For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.”
-1 Corinthians 4:20
In Matthew 10, Jesus sent out the twelve disciples and told them to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons. These are all acts of power. The disciples found the confidence to do these things because they had spent time with Jesus.
It’s one aspect to share your faith with someone. It’s totally another aspect for you to pray with confidence and watch the finger of God touch their physical body and heal them of a disease or infirmity.
Jesus taught the disciples to pray, saying thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We, as believers, have the power to bring the kingdom of God to earth and reveal God’s love to a lost and hurting world.
